Energy Invest 1 — BESS Opportunity in Latvia

Energy Invest 1 is a Latvian battery energy storage system (BESS) project developed with technical partner Engycell. The project is scalable, allowing deployment to be aligned with confirmed investor demand, technical requirements and project economics.

The growing share of renewable electricity creates greater demand for flexible storage capacity, balancing and grid-support services. Investors also require a professionally coordinated Latvian company structure that can support both the underlying business case and the applicable residence permit requirements.

Investors subscribe for shares in a dedicated Latvian SPV, with investments starting from EUR 50,000. Capital is allocated to the development, installation and operation of BESS assets. RigaInvest coordinates the corporate structure, KYC and AML process, banking, immigration support through qualified professional partners, and ongoing administration, while specialised partners manage technical delivery and operations. The operating structure is designed to meet the applicable annual Latvian tax-payment requirement for the qualifying company-investment residence permit route and to maintain the investment's ongoing compliance. Bank financing may be added where available and commercially appropriate.

The planned investor return is up to 10% per year, subject to the project's actual operating performance and available distributable profit; it is not guaranteed. The intended outcome is an operating Latvian energy asset combining commercial revenue potential with a qualifying company investment for eligible residence permit applicants, subject to individual legal, KYC and immigration assessment.
